In another forum, carpet in the sleeping area was surprisingly often recommended to me or was installed by the users there as a floor covering. I am really surprised because:

- I always thought carpet is a floor covering considered "cheap" (which we laid together with the €3.99 laminate from Poco in the rental apartment)
- It is harder to clean, especially when it comes to liquids
- it can off-gas
- you have one more floor covering on the floor (the bathroom and the other rooms have different floor coverings [e.g. tiles and parquet/vinyl] which cannot be avoided but thus you would have tiles in the bathroom, vinyl in the guest room, study, hallway, and carpet in the bedroom. 3 different floor coverings on one level

Yes, and? Isn't it allowed to be affordable? And many people just like to be barefoot on carpets. Fits well. Carpet and bedroom.

And, there is also high-quality carpet. I have a carpet made of goats' hair/new wool in the bedroom, which breathes very well, but is also very pleasant underfoot when stepping out of bed with bare feet. Color tone similar to the tiles in the hallway and other rooms.

I also wouldn't know where it is stipulated that you have to lay vinyl on the rest of the area, you are also allowed to lay (have laid) carpet there

...we also have fitted carpet in the bedroom (white).

We have no fear of leaking liquids and the stains that result in this room...

The fitted carpet is extremely high-pile, very dense, and pampers bare feet when getting up.
