Carpet in the bedroom despite underfloor heating?

Hello,

we are currently thinking about the flooring. In the show homes, we have always really liked bedrooms with high-pile carpets. The rooms have a very cozy character. Generally, we are not fans of carpets and will use parquet, tiles, and laminate everywhere. However, in the bedroom and the adjoining walk-in closet, the carpet would be a real treat for the feet, instead of the rather cold laminate in oak country house plank design.

We have underfloor heating everywhere, and nowadays there are also anti-allergy carpets. But how does that relate to the risk of dust mites? I am a bit concerned about that.

What are your opinions and does anyone perhaps even have carpet in their house/bedroom?

I would be interested to know

It would just mean a bit more vacuuming – the result then depends on the vacuum cleaner. I had carpet in the bedroom for a long time before – it works. I had laminate in the meantime – it wasn’t cold, but it was slippery. Now we considered: cork or parquet – result: roughly planed wooden parquet, oiled. We find it very pleasant on the feet. It isn’t cold at all. And because of the texture, it feels really nice on the feet.

Underfloor heating and carpet can work, the carpet should be suitable for underfloor heating. If you find the laminate too cold, I also recommend vinyl, click or adhesive vinyl, which even has a significantly grippier surface than textured laminate and is absolutely warm underfoot and comfortable.

Actually no problem. The underfloor heating in the bedroom is generally not on anyway. Ours is permanently set to the lowest temperature with night setback.

We are planning the same. Carpet in the bedroom and dressing room. The rest of the upper floor probably vinyl. I like to step on carpet when getting up.

We have tiles everywhere. Very pleasant in terms of dust - otherwise, we do not regret it.
