Thank you for your information. However, the floor layer says that he cannot cut out this board. He has to remove the floor from the opposite side. That would be well over three quarters of the floor. So it has to be completely relaid.

With a bit of fiddling, you can also remove from the other side and re-lay it. It's not optimal, but with fiddling it should work. But once it’s cut, removing and clicking it back in should be very quick.

I cannot share the statements of your floor installer, of course he can cut out the damaged plank and insert a new one. You just have to want to. ;) You could also do it yourselves in an emergency, provided the necessary tools are available. You can of course, to avoid high costs a.) try whether the liability insurance of an acquaintance who caused it will cover it, or b.) try it with a repair kit, 4mm is not much and should be possible to retouch.

No, because that breaks the click connection. That also does not work. For this, the click connection of the plank to be laid is practically destroyed and glued in after it has been acclimatized in the room for 1-2 days. For this purpose, a fast-setting waterproof glue is used and the plank is weighted down.

This is about click laminate and not about planks or parquet. I have never seen laminate glued anywhere. And click laminate can be taken apart again without damage.

I once cut out a laminate plank with click function from Parador in the middle of a room and fiddled a new one in. I was sweating and swearing because it wasn’t that easy, but in retrospect it’s no longer visible that I did it. And it went considerably faster than removing and replacing half a room.
