hello, can I glue drywall panels directly onto the interior walls in the basement, which is buried about 1 meter and completely made of poured concrete? later, a bedroom and children's room will be there. could there be problems with condensation then? the rooms have windows. maybe I'll install a ventilation system. best regards

Hello, I would install humidity meters. If the humidity is too high, I would avoid gypsum-based materials. Preferably plaster with lime cement.

Yes, why drywall? I would only do it if necessary.

I think if I stick drywall to the concrete, then I still have an air insulation between the concrete and the drywall.
The adhesive is applied only spotwise to the panels.
And I can install the drywall myself. (save costs)

You probably shouldn't rely on insulation with air. Does that even work? I don't think so; if anything, you need some kind of insulating material in there. But then you can't glue it anymore....

As far as I know, gluing is mainly intended as an easy solution for uneven walls and similar things that old buildings have to offer. Then there's also the fact that you would probably only be doing single-layer boarding? Then you can hardly hang anything on the walls again.

Apart from a possible cost saving, I don't see any big advantages. They might be given if installation levels are supposed to be behind it, but those are probably already installed in the concrete anyway?

Have you ever tried plastering yourself? Concrete is certainly flat, just put plaster rails on and get started. It's not that difficult, maybe you have a room where you can practice? I have my doubts that it's much easier to glue various drywall panels straight to the wall than it is to plaster them. Or to put it another way, I trust the people who dare to take on this job to also be able to plaster. (But a little practice doesn't hurt, I admit that)

Thermal insulation with air works. It is also built into window panes. I think the wall will be warmer with gypsum boards than if I plaster the concrete. Less cold will be transferred from the concrete into the room since the gypsum boards only have point contact. Plastering also doesn’t work because I won’t have all rooms finished by the time I move in. I wanted to simply finish the rooms step by step whenever I have time and money again.
