Hi,
I have been operating an air-to-water heat pump in my new building for a year now. Is there a way to calculate whether it is running efficiently?

Elco Aerotop Split 07M-R
Heating capacity 6.4 kW
Annual performance factor heating 4.77
Annual performance factor water 3.58
Annual performance factor total 4.5

Annual consumption heating/water = 2630 kWh

The main problem will be separating heating from water, right?
In the heating control system, I also can't find any option to display any heat quantities.

Thanks in advance!
Marvin

Are the values from the heat pump itself? If the overall annual performance factor is a blunt average of heating and hot water, then you can calculate the proportions.

Delta annual performance factor heating to annual performance factor water = 1.19
Delta annual performance factor heating to annual performance factor overall = 0.27
Delta annual performance factor water to annual performance factor overall = 0.92

Proportion water = 0.92/1.19*100 = 77.3
Proportion heating = 0.27/1.19*100 = 22.7

So maybe 22.7% hot water and 77.3% heating. Which then...
0.227*2630kWh = 597kWh for hot water and
0.773*2630kWh = 2033kWh for heating would be.

Does that help?

Do you have a heat quantity meter?

How much heated area, basement? Sounds like very low consumption and small house. Or extremely efficient system!

Without knowing the exact amount of heat, I would already say based on the electricity consumption that the system runs great for an air-to-water heat pump.

The annual performance factor is given and I would like to know now, after one year, whether it is correct.

I do not have a heat meter... at least I am not aware of one!

No basement and small house is correct.
