Cabinet for range hood

Hello,

since we want to install a 90cm wide ceramic hob in our Ikea kitchen, we also want to install a 90cm extractor hood above it. And since the cabinet under the ceramic hob is 80 cm wide, it should also be an 80 cm wall cabinet - we have decided on the FA305. Now we want to clarify whether, for example, we can install the extractor hood "Neff DA 89 B".

We imagine it roughly like this:
- Cabinet bottom will not be mounted
- Instead, a board will be installed upright over the entire height x width as a partition
- The upper cabinet shelf will be cut out accordingly so that the exhaust duct can be routed out
- Minor adjustments so that shelves and co. can also fit inside (spice cabinet)

What do you think, can this work or have we overlooked or badly thought through something fundamental?

Then we also found a "Z5420X0 Installation Set 90 cm Wall Cabinet" at Neff, which we apparently somehow need - we’ll see.

Actually, IKEA has special cabinets for extractor hoods, but unfortunately I don't know if they come in 90 width.

But judging by your description, it should work. Just make sure there is good air circulation on the right and left side of the hood. Because that’s where the motor is, and it also needs cooling.

You have to raise the bottom anyway. But since you can no longer use the eccentric (or the cam) and the metal dowel, there are two possibilities left. Either drill new holes, which I think is very complicated, or screw it in with wood screws. To be safe, I would also use the wooden dowels.
