Hello everyone..

we want to have a house built and are looking for a plot of land.
Now we have shortlisted one and have already contacted the real estate agent.
He had already sent us some data (Price , area, building envelope) and asked what else we want to know??
Huh?
We were thinking of things like contamination, soil survey, survey plan.

Do you have any other suggestions on what would be important.

That also brings me to question 2.
What does the notary need to know about this plot of land?

Nothing from you. He gets all the information from the land registry office.

If the real estate agent is good (really good, because it is not his duty), he has already requested the information from the land registry office and can thus grant you insight.

A soil survey is usually commissioned by the buyer. If you’re lucky, there is a current one, but it is not standard either.

With prime properties, sellers and agents are less active because it incurs costs. With less desirable properties (not the price), they naturally offer small "giveaways" like the soil survey to make the property more attractive.

Regards Yvonne
