You can give smaller pieces of advice like that, but it won't work this way. Even lawyers have to feed people with their work.

Question:
- if a general contractor makes such a statement and is willing to tackle the construction project without detailed planning, then also at a fixed price and the contract for work + description of construction services are checked and consistent, then the architect is not liable BUT the general contractor is fully liable for any later arising errors/construction defects, right??
He cannot retrospectively say the detailed planning was not provided to him, therefore the error, right??
So why actually put in the extra effort for detailed planning for such a standard off-the-shelf project (single-family house)???
... because there are many builders who build without detailed planning (calculated risk YES) and still do not sit with the costs in case of defects...
