Good morning everyone,
It's not that unusual after all, or is it?
The general contractor (GU) just has a construction company and surely works together with other companies. Ultimately, he should be able to offer a turnkey overall price. After that, you can still say, I would prefer to do the plumbing with another company, for example, and he removes that trade and you get an offer there.
In my case, it will probably be similar, that a general contractor (the GU has his own construction company regarding shell construction and planning, etc.) will make a turnkey offer on site, and I already know which companies I want to use for part of the construction. In my case, this concerns carpentry/roofing as well as plumbing and electrical work. The other trades then have to be awarded elsewhere or offers obtained.
So is this really so unusual :)
