Can someone please clarify what kind of "extension" this is supposed to be? What is shown in the photo is not part of the house and therefore not an extension (see missing foundation base).

If there were now a slim wooden staircase with wooden railing installed and a porch roof without side panels, no one would think to make such a fuss, even though it would actually be no different.

This is simply a staircase with a masonry parapet railing, which was certainly permit-free back then. Furthermore, a porch roof that would still be permit-free today due to the short overhang (as well as the small portion of the house wall length it protrudes from). So why make such a big deal out of it now?

Oh man. I tried to formulate a question here nicely and friendly and yet I am somehow being misinterpreted and even attacked. Many thanks again to Escroda for your intervention. Why are people always immediately so aggressive and hostile like some here in the forum. I registered a few days ago and hereby unregister again. I only say "Hausbau-Forum" No thanks!!

I cannot support that. The answers were in line with your reaction....so much for "from the outside"...

Yes yes, everyone talks the world the way they want it! I have the feeling that this forum is once again such a platform where failed fellow citizens can vent their frustration and aggression to their heart's content. One waits like a spider in the web until someone comes and "just" naively asks a QUESTION. But if you make even the smallest formal mistake in phrasing a question, the wave of outrage starts. It doesn't matter what the question is about, only the choice of words counts. Everyone here tries to play the know-it-all teacher. Probably because in their social environment (if any exists) they are not taken very seriously, for whatever reasons. There are "definitely" better and above all more competent forums than this one. Oh yes, by the way, "Mottenhausen" didn't even understand what this is about in the first place. So then, have fun!!
