We heat our house using a geothermal heat pump. The corresponding collectors were buried in the ground in the garden. Now we want to build a wall and are faced with the question of whether it would affect the collectors. The wall would run directly over a collector.

You should not build the wall over the collector (surface collector?); on the one hand, there is a risk that the pipes may be damaged due to excavation and foundation work, on the other hand, the earth pressure from the wall foundation can cause damage. Apart from that, you would restrict the heat yield of the ground collector.

I would never undertake something like that. The collectors in the ground would be damaged by the wall. For energy reasons as well, a wall is completely out of place. Simply move the wall or do without it.

I agree with that because such a wall is not suitable at this location. If a wall is built there, it will interfere with the regular operation. This can lead to significant restrictions, even to damages. It would not be worth it for me to put up a wall there.

I do not understand the purpose of a wall at all. If something is to be separated, it can be done with other materials, such as wooden panels.

I also cannot understand why a wall absolutely has to be built there. It is clear that this will affect the collector. For the operation, this wall is complete nonsense, so build it somewhere else or leave it out.
