Build a garage yourself cheaply due to delivery problems?

Evening folks. We’re not quite sure what to do. We own a small house and would like to have a prefabricated garage built or build one ourselves at the end of our garden. I have already gotten a few quotes, which are okay so far. But since the access path to the garden is quite narrow and the truck would have to round a corner, no representative can 100% assure us that the installation will work. Do you perhaps know a prefabricated garage provider who is also familiar with such problems, for example with a car crane, where you receive professional advice and can rely on it 100%? Or could I build a garage myself? Without a complicated approval process, I mean like a ready-made garage plan with structural calculations that you can submit and then build yourself? There is also a simplified approval for prefabricated garages, right?

Best regards.

In our neighborhood, a Juwel prefabricated garage was just delivered with a crane, but I can't say how far the crane had to lift the garage. Given the size of the crane, it was definitely about 20m.

Would a steel garage be an alternative? It can be assembled on site by a professional.

Steel garages come in small individual parts. That always works and saves money, a large crane would be needed, it will cost a lot, then you might as well have the garage built with masonry. We have the same problem and will have a storage room with 3x4m walls and a carport in front built ourselves. In my opinion, these prefabricated garages are too expensive and often too small.

An alternative to steel garages is also the MULTIBOX system garage. The combination of stable, rot-proof synthetic fiber made from recycled polyurethane (fully reacted) and technically dried KVH stud framework as a massive and highly stable solid wood construction promises not only an enormously stable structure but also long durability. - MultiTherm fiberboards - rot-proof - Facade with brush plaster character - KVH stud framework - solid structural wood is massive and extremely load-bearing - Block made of MultiTherm fiber

Yes, thanks again to everyone for the help. Yes, I have also already thought about a steel garage. How are they in terms of durability and warranty, is there no problem with rust? Best regards, Axel
