Hello everyone,
we are currently building a house and have a question.
Our double garage will be built on the property boundary right next to the house. It cannot be done otherwise, as the house is quite wide. Now, our property has a slope (the first few meters from the street are about 50-60 cm higher than the rest), which has already been evened out in the area of the house. The neighbor built their house on the lower part of the land. My question now is what to do about the garage. Since the garage should be at the same level as the house, the slope must also be evened out here, but since the garage lies on the property edge, we wonder how this is supposed to work.
The excavation contractor suggested using concrete L-profiles. I can’t quite imagine that. The garage must be set on strip foundations. It can’t rest on an L-profile on one side, can it?
Are there other ways to solve this problem?
