Hello,
we are currently building a single-family house in BW with a general contractor and the shell has just been erected.
During the inspection with our expert, it was noticed that the masonry waterproofing was not executed completely according to standards.
It should be implemented as shown in the upper picture, unfortunately the yellow marked area is missing. The membrane is therefore not wrapped around the strip foundation but only lies horizontally on it.
I have not yet spoken to the general contractor because I am not sure about the next steps.
What options do I have? Which ones are reasonable and proportionate?
Is this something where I should demand rectification of defects? Or can it be overlooked if everything else is correct? How critical is the missing part?
So far I am satisfied with the general contractor and have some respect/fear of disturbing the peace.
