Hey,

we have a problem with our built-in Bosch refrigerator.

It fits perfectly into the Faktum tall cabinet, but due to the flat hinge technology, I can only open the freezer compartment at the bottom if the refrigerator door at the top is open because the flat hinge above the freezer compartment is no longer covered by the FAKTUM door (70cm) of the freezer compartment. This way, the FAKTUM door of the refrigerator at the bottom would be damaged if the freezer compartment is opened while the refrigerator is closed.

Can other hinges be installed on the Bosch refrigerator? There are no other doors (the one for the freezer compartment would have to be 73-74cm high – that's not a standard size).

What other options are there? Has anyone had the same problem before?

Best regards

I'll write down everything that comes to mind about this. None of it is good.

1. Cutting a larger door for the bottom to the correct size is not an option with LINDINGÖ.
2. I don't think there are other hinges; Bosch customer service can answer that question better.
3. Set the upper door a little higher. There will remain a wide gap and an overhang at the top.
4. Set the combination lower. The bottom of the cabinet lies between the sides. Replace this with a 3.6 cm wider board on which the sides are mounted. Oh no, the dimensions probably don't allow that.
5. Use the 233 cm high built-in cabinet (217 cm body) with a 92 cm door at the bottom and a 125 cm door at the top. If 70 cm upper cabinets hang next to it, there is no uniform finish.

Maybe someone else has a better idea.

Human Ikea expert, you pro!

I have no idea either. Although, build the base yourself and put a plinth in front, enclose the fridge yourself with, for example, countertops. Connect a 70 cm door and a 9.4 cm oven panel with a flat iron, attach the upper door, done. Not pretty but complicated. Or wait for Metod, there are 80 cm fronts.

Best regards

I lowered my tall cabinet so the refrigerator would fit inside. It was quite simple. But I also installed the tall (21 cm) feet throughout the kitchen and used only boards as feet under the tall cabinet, and the front protrudes slightly above the cabinet at the top. Because I didn't want to shorten the front for aesthetic reasons. A bit of finesse and craftsmanship and it should work...
