I had meant and understood the area at the height of the skirting board by base, that you have the base flush (so no skirting board)? Hence the question how you solved it, whether you have a shadow gap instead of a skirting board?

No extra foot strip... So a small shadow gap forms between the frame and the base tile. I did set the base a bit inward, but I should have made it almost flush to make the shadow gap even smaller.
