A bit weak for a 40-year-old wooden house... Definitely do it again...

OK, I will probably have to cover the costs myself for a second test...

But I will do it

I would also have the defects remedied. We have a prefabricated house (timber frame construction) without controlled residential ventilation, instead with window rebate ventilation and roller shutters, and our value is 0.74. Inside, everything had already been plastered and so on.

There are collars for that. Even if you don’t want to spend 10€ on it, you simply take a lot of tape for the vapor barrier (there is special tape for that) and seal the cables this way. I’m attaching a photo for you.

I can’t say anything about removing it. The test is passed on the one hand, on the other hand, in my opinion, it is not professionally done if I understood everything correctly. I remember how much they taped up in our case. I think you can really say here - more is better.

We have an energy saving regulation standard made of sand-lime brick without ventilation/window rebate with 0.76/h. Your value is already very high...

From what value is the BDT considered passed?

Our house with controlled residential ventilation had 0.67 despite a cat flap in the wall - 1.7 would have seemed like a disaster to me.
