Oh, you mean the algorithms that are already common practice in many online shops?

That is true, but it is not the case for us. We are already in ranges we never expected... Neither my brother nor I have ever sold a property in our entire lives, so we simply have no experience, and I wanted to ask here. That's all...

The only thing is: I am a scientist (yeah, with a kind of public service salary in London, this is going to be fun!) and sometimes tend to want to understand even everyday things 'too deeply'

To everyone else: Can we please get back to the topic?

Now you completely astonish me: does the horse paddock have a mandatory district heating purchase obligation??? *don’t understand*

Yup, sorry... After the "attacks" I felt the need to justify myself and just wanted to say that we are not a real estate empire trying to squeeze small allotment gardeners to be able to afford another yacht. On the contrary, we really can use the money. We already discussed this in the other thread, some people here seem to be in the fortunate position of accepting 5000 or 10000€ less money to make it easier for the buyer, or so that the friendlier buyer wins the bid, etc. But some people simply cannot be that considerate and sell to the highest bidder. P.S. I actually never said anything about a district heating purchase obligation.

But let's leave it at that, it's all off-topic anyway...

Best regards, Andre

I also don't understand some comments here. Nobody has anything to give away and of course everyone tries to get the best for themselves.

I can only say how we will handle it with our parental house this year. There are already about 30 interested parties. The sale will still take a few months. When the time comes, all interested parties will be offered a viewing and then everyone can submit an offer. If there is an offer we are satisfied with (we already have a rough idea of what we would like), the house will be sold directly. Otherwise, everyone will be informed of the current highest bid and asked if anyone wants to improve it again.
