My architect suggested installing the bathtub in the bedroom (due to lack of space in the actual bathroom with the shower). However, I am concerned about damage from moisture (wooden house, Minergie).

Does anyone have relevant experience or ideas about this?

I once saw this at friends' in a small Berlin apartment and found it quite strange. On the topic of moisture: of course, they also had to be careful that nothing overflowed, that they didn't make anything wet when getting out, etc. Maybe you have the possibility to create a separate room in the basement?

There's always talk about putting the bathtub in the bedroom. Not just because of lack of space, but also because it’s supposed to be modern. I myself am not a fan of it. Especially if you don’t live alone, it’s a bit strange if my wife would bathe in the bedroom. When there are children, it’s even more unusual. You don’t have to follow every trend. For me, a bathtub belongs in the bathroom or possibly in the basement where the washing machines are.

Hello bathing nymph,
your name here suggests that you like to stay in the bathtub for a long time?
If so, consider that if you put the bathtub in the bedroom, other family members will have to deal with it too.
Maybe that would be a good idea if you have a house with several bathrooms.
Then you can use the bathtub in the bedroom just for yourself.
As (a somewhat bigger) child, I wouldn't have wanted to bathe like that.

Best regards Gerda

Today everything is possible, but a bathtub in the bedroom? No, that is not for me. They then march through the bedroom and use the bathroom. I also see the danger of high humidity.

I like this idea, and if I imagine going from the bed to the bathtub, I could like that. You can do quite a bit against the moisture.
