Bathroom sampling

Hello,

we will soon be selecting samples for our bathrooms. We have a certain design line within the budget; if we choose something else, the budget price will be credited.

Since it is certainly more expensive in the specialist trade, we are now considering purchasing the washbasin cabinet online and installing it ourselves. The sanitary installation, meaning the washbasins and everything related, should still be done by a professional.

Are there any problems with the warranty or similar if the cabinet is installed by oneself afterwards? The sanitary installation should still be covered by the warranty, right?

No, that is absolutely no problem at all. You can always make the furniture yourself, we did it that way too. Saves money and the quality from the carpenter is way better than the overpriced brand junk from the [Bad Heinis]!

If you really install a base cabinet, you screw it to the wall, so it actually has nothing to do with the sink. It's different with above-counter sinks, but there you don't even have the option to retrofit the countertop, otherwise the sink would have to float... ;)

We assembled everything ourselves, including the ceramic, which took time, but the savings were simply enormous. I can only recommend buying furniture and assembling it yourself.

If you have a good connection with the executing plumbers and the base cabinet is available, they will most likely do the installation for you at a bargain.
