I suspect people only pay for the name and design anyway. Even Bulgurspa from Plovdiv will serve its purpose for years. It's just not so tres chique.....

We have Villeroy & Boch, high quality and quite timeless. However, the faucets tend to be more expensive. For us, they are roughly twice the price.

With a similar budget for two bathrooms, we opted for Keramag for the ceramics and Keuco for the rest. Initially, we looked at washbasins and furniture at Ikea. The quality is not comparable, as you might imagine. We had the shower cabins built by the glazier: simple, timeless, relatively inexpensive.

We have chosen Keramag for two bathrooms and installed Villeroy & Boch in the small bathroom, both are of great quality and if you look at some of the series, the price is also reasonable. You can save a lot with the manufacturers if you compare the different series. This also applies to the bathroom fixtures, as there are significant differences even within the same manufacturer.

The shower cabin is once from Bauhaus (after 4 years there is nothing to complain about) and the second one is self-built from a 140x200x8mm VSG panel that is held in the wall by a U-profile, glued with silicone at the bottom and also has a support bar. It was even cheaper and nicer and I also think higher quality.

We have the Villeroy & Boch Avento series in use in both bathrooms. So far, we are very satisfied with it.
