Hello,
we are currently installing a bathroom in an old building. The walls were built with (for moisture-prone areas specified) drywall panels and properly plastered.
Since the house has quite thick exterior walls, the window lintels are designed in an arch shape (which I also find quite appealing). Originally, I planned to tile up to the ceiling, but I wasn't quite sure what to do with the arched window...
In the meantime, the plan is no longer to tile the entire height (except in the shower) - now I am wondering what needs to be considered if the drywall panels are not completely 'sealed' with tiles (waterproofing slurry, primer, etc. underneath) and instead fine plaster or something similar is applied...? Can you just apply 'normal' fine plaster and be done with it?
Thank you.
Best regards
Dieter
