Hello,

we simply don't know what to do regarding our bathroom layout, do you maybe have any ideas? Our plumbing guy said, by the way, that a meeting with him before the building permit would not be useful, hmm... :-(

Unfortunately, once the building permit is granted, things like windows and load-bearing walls are fixed, and that is exactly where we still have some leeway. For example, the window could be placed anywhere along the short side without problems, since below that is the utility room, and it could have the window anywhere. Or the window could stay roughly where it is but can certainly be moved a few centimeters here or there (unfortunately, it must fit symmetrically to the toilet on the other side one floor below – so moving the window closer to the door would not be desired). Also, one could swap any walls with the adjacent utility room or move walls, create recesses there, etc.

Here are 4 ideas from us:

Bathroom fixtures currently in our planning:

190x90 duo bathtub
at least 120x90 shower area (not tiled, Villeroy & Boch Squaro or something similar)
120cm wide washbasin (1 faucet) with wide shelf areas left and right (included in the 120cm)
and a toilet

The window is most likely realizable as in plan 1 at the top regarding exterior symmetry etc.

I would reconsider the idea of the huge tub. If children are supposed to bathe in it, it would be quite a waste of water in the long run.

The sizes of the tub and the washbasin have already been extensively discussed between the two of us and many things have been tried out, and these are now the results. Only for the shower is it more of an estimated value, which should probably be comfortable and generous enough.

Can you still rearrange the window? Then I would put it on the other side and simply arrange the shower and bathtub or sink and toilet on the left and right. Kaldewei Mega Duo 180x90 Körperform I can highly recommend - it also fits very well with a 90 cm shower.

What is the sill height of the window? Does the bathtub fit directly underneath?

The bathtub would probably fit underneath, is that allowed? Because of fall protection? We would probably choose a "standard" parapet height there. That would be about 90 cm.
