Hello,
I have a question
My basement is constructed as follows.
First, the external formwork is set up, then you attach Styropor 8cm (not Styropor) to it, after that (I am not exactly sure) iron mesh and internal formwork, and then it is concreted. A big advantage according to my builder is that the Styropor does not have to be glued after the basement is finished and the basement is 100% watertight. I have been on several construction sites and after concreting, the black sealing compound was always applied twice first and then Styropor was glued on. Is this a new procedure and is the basement 100% watertight and what disadvantages does it have?
In short, this is how my basement wall looks from you from the outside. Concrete wall - Styropor 8cm - dimpled membrane.
Thank you in advance for the answer
