Hi, just take the Hoymiles HMS-800 or the HM-800 (cheaper), it has 2 MPPTs, can also be throttled to 600 watts via DTU. Unfortunately, I don’t know any "good" 400W inverter with 2 MPPTs :-(

However, keep in mind that you are allowed and should definitely install more wattage since you usually never get that much power with an east/west orientation.
It’s about the fed-in power (at the inverter), not the max available ...

I’m also currently planning a small balcony power plant but would like to take the HMS-1600 (because of 4 MPPT trackers) and mount it with three 410 watt modules oriented to the east (no more fit on it) on my bike shed.

Detailed info on that gladly as soon as the electrician has connected the line. And the roof of the bike shed is also not quite finished yet ...
So I will only order/mount next year as I don’t feel like dealing with the throttling effort for 1/2 year ;-) and also have plenty of other projects lined up

You already have photovoltaic panels on the house roof, right? So why go through the trouble with the bike shed? Does it even pay off with a reasonably new meter that doesn’t run backward?

Balcony power plant in addition to photovoltaics? So for additional self-consumption as well as feeding into the grid. I want to do that next year as well. This way you can make good use of the excess electricity. It is also legally okay, since the photovoltaics are usually registered with the nominal power (I still have the old 70% regulation, so an 8 kW inverter for a 10 kW system), which is almost never reached. This way the yield of the balcony power plant cannot be assigned.

Problem: The installation locations (east/west - south) are spatially separated.

I will probably connect the east/west modules in parallel to one controller. That should work so far. Later then south with its own microinverter.

Yes, fed-in power would then be 400 + 400, once the change has been made...

Interesting thought. Until now, I had only considered later installing a second "real" system on the garden shed and carport. But a "balcony power plant" would of course be significantly cheaper.

That is definitely wrong. Because the system is registered with the grid operator both with the generator output and with the inverter output. And with the expansion, you receive the feed-in tariff rate from earlier for the new system. As soon as a regular photovoltaic system already exists, every expansion must be registered and equipped with an additional meter. The yields are then billed in a detailed breakdown.
