Hello everyone,

I don't know if I am in the right forum category here, or if it would be better under "Heating" or even "Do-it yourself."

We have bought a newly built single-family house and noticed a few points where we are not sure whether these fall into the category "Poorly executed, but functional and therefore acceptable" or actually a defect.

One of these points is the connections of the bathroom radiator (see photos). Is this still okay as it is? Or does anyone know how to possibly fix it easily by themselves, would Moltofill putty be sufficient?

Well, that's definitely a defect! The rosette is supposed to cover the [TRohtraustritt], but it doesn't. Of course, you can fix it yourself with some filler. Use a ready-made filler that is easier to work with. And then try to imitate the texture with a roller.

Defect? Well, I don't know. It still works anyway. It's unpleasant, though, but can be fixed properly with little effort and little time. Before I would make a big deal out of it, I would rather take care of it myself.

No, that is not okay but rather made in an extremely unloving way. I would complain about it.

If there is a possibility, have it corrected. I thought that was not possible because "bought as seen"

We are still within the statutory warranty period. The seller has contractually assigned the claim to us, so that we can/must contact the developer directly. However, it has already become apparent in another warranty case that he behaves quite uncooperatively. At first, he wanted proof of a maintenance contract (unnecessary, since such a contract has no influence on the warranty claim within the first two years). Later, he said that a subcontractor was responsible for the trade, but when approached, that subcontractor could not find a corresponding order in the system, and so on. I think, in the end, I would rather do the small repair myself than put myself through the stress again...
