Attic Ventilation

I am already in the middle of construction and have a question, I have not planned a window in the attic because it will not be converted, is it problematic to leave the attic without a window, I am afraid that later something will mold due to too little ventilation.

does anyone have experience with attics without windows?

My attic has no window. However, the attic in my case is also outside the airtight enclosure. In other words, the vapor barrier ends below the attic. Up to now, I have no mold there, but I would not use it for storing valuable items either.

As has already written, it is important to distinguish whether the attic is inside or outside the insulation layer.

With insulation up to the ridge, ventilation is absolutely recommended to prevent mold.

If it is outside this insulation layer, ventilation is not strictly necessary but still advisable.

For this reason, we have installed a few ventilation tiles in the roof – that is absolutely sufficient.

If the controlled residential ventilation system is located in the attic, you can also use it for ventilation - at least that's how I do it and I hope it works.

If the attic is not insulated, it is also not airtight - air will blow in there anyway.

I just spoke with my architect again, so the attic will be insulated and there will be ventilation bricks with pipes that stick out from under the insulation, since the roofers haven't started yet, I'm now installing 2 small roof windows, it's not necessary, but since I have a fairly large attic, I'd rather do it

And why? Do you want to keep the windows open all the time? Why are you insulating at all?
