Hello,

a question about a single-family house from 1976 with living spaces in the attic.

Which walls according to the floor plan are probably load-bearing walls? According to the building description, it is a wooden rafter roof / gable roof. Interior walls on the floor are brick / Ytong.

The wall between the storage room and the bedroom has since been changed. The storage room is now a bedroom, and the former bedroom is now another bathroom.

Furthermore, we were told that the wall between the children's rooms can simply be removed if necessary.

Thank you very much!

Something like that should be assessed by a structural engineer. If it is a proper rafter roof, there would be no load-bearing walls. But as I said, order a structural engineer to take a look at it.

Thank you. We definitely asked a structural engineer about this as well. The following image probably confirms the construction description that it is a rafter roof:

Probably no load-bearing walls. The rafter roof and material suggest this. But only PROBABLY.

The thickness of the interior walls (12 cm instead of 11.5 cm brick or aerated concrete, or 12.5 cm aerated concrete plan stone) does not correspond to any of the mentioned materials; load-bearing walls made of the mentioned materials are also not present, this could only apply to lime sand brick at 11.5 cm. However, non-load-bearing walls can also have a bracing function and thus be statically relevant. Are the rafters supposed to be held in position here exclusively by collar beams?

I consider this highly likely to be correct.

But rafter roofs certainly have about 1 to 2 supports that you can't see like that. That's how it is with us.
