Hello everyone, before I bring up the topic tomorrow with the window manufacturers, architects, and energy consultants, I wanted to throw this into the group here and see if anyone can give a tip.
With us, starting tomorrow it goes on with the windows in the [ ] and the topic of fall protection is becoming urgent. In the end, we need a few fall protections. For aesthetic reasons, we would like to attach the fall protection in the window reveal. Now our wall structure is as follows: 17.5 KS + 12 cm insulation; plastic windows with textile screens and guide rails. As I see it now, we can only attach fall protection in the insulation layer... A mounting there without special brackets or similar things, like those from Schöck or Sto for example, is of course not possible. But those are expensive if you need four per window...
I have now thought about putting four sturdy brackets into the wall per window and then putting the insulation in front of them. The fall protection can then be attached to the brackets. If this would work, the question arises whether the part of the bracket that is not insulated (to which the fall protection is attached) represents a thermal bridge. That part will become cold and through the steel the cold could draw into the masonry. Do the brackets have to be thermally separated? Is there such a thing? Or is there any way to take standard brackets and somehow decouple them from the masonry?
I hope I was able to explain the problem clearly.
Best regards Ben

There are different systems and possibilities. Angles and plates. Decoupled and not.

Really? Great. What do I have to search for there or do you have any example for me? The only thing I found were these mounting brackets for the insulation, and of course, at 200 € each, that's not really an alternative.
Best regards

I have not researched the prices for such in GFK now and just want to briefly point out that "stable" does not necessarily have to mean "steel".

Yes, that's true. But if I now, for example, search for gfk angles or similar, I also can't find anything suitable...

Just do it the way you want first, then let the examiner come. Then you will see if you need to do anything else or not. Sometimes a temporary solution is enough for the inspection. It is usually a matter of liability, not implementation.
