Hello everyone,

I have to bump this thread, is there now a practical solution?
So far I have never had any problems. Move, new sink, new siphon, new dishwasher. Everything connected as usual and exactly the mentioned problem.

The property management sent someone for the house pipe, but that causes no problems. You have to lay the siphon and he left again. Because otherwise he would need a job from me and that (yesterday) would no longer be possible today.
Can I buy something at the hardware store, replace something, etc.? Any ideas? It’s really annoying that in some apartments it just doesn’t want to work.

Have the same problem.
For 1 week the sink and dishwasher have been connected to the siphon, everything was running perfectly until today. The only thing was a gurgling sound when the last bit of water drained away. And today water from the sink is only draining very slowly. The dishwasher is pushing the wastewater into the sink.
Took the siphon apart, everything is clear. Flushed through with the "granate" (pipe cleaner with water pressure). Everything is clear up to the siphon. Took the siphon apart and also flushed through with the "granate", everything is clear there as well.
Put everything back together, water does not drain. ??????
Took the siphon apart again, but everything is clear. I don’t understand. Everything was okay at noon, suddenly stopped in the evening.

Just found something about a Durgo Stemmpellüfter that could help with that. If I am successful, it will be posted here.

Current interim status.

I have completely removed the siphon. No blockage present (which would have surprised me with a new sink anyway ). Then I inserted a small air hose into the siphon so that it ends behind the siphon (near the downpipe) and the other end protruded again in front of the siphon (above the water level). Then I reinstalled the siphon and flooded it. Water drains, but the drain now gurgles. So the problem is clearly due to the negative pressure created behind the siphon.

I will now order and install the membrane fan and see if that works. It's actually sad that you then have to buy a part costing almost €80 to make the drain run without problems.

The alternative of simply installing a new siphon from the hardware store fails due to the strange dimensions of the sink’s drain and overflow. Thanks Ikea.
