Hello dear community,
Today I got 2 Lupin blinds 100 width, 130 height for my double casement window at Ikea after a long back-and-forth calculation and many technical considerations.
Now to the problem: On the blind, the cord and the rod for turning are mounted right-aligned. On my left window of the double window, I of course want to work left-aligned, otherwise the cord will be dangling somewhere in the middle of the window between the handles --> Not nice!
So I asked the saleswoman if it can somehow be rotated/moved inside etc. (not visible from the packaging or the display model). She says "Yes, sure, it also works left-aligned!" Me: "Are those different packages or does it work with each one?" She: "Yeah yeah, there are no different packages for that!"
Alright, took them with me. Now I unpacked one and took a closer look, but you can neither turn it three-quarters so that the cord hole and the turning rod nub (which are attached in a corner instead of on one side of the box at the top) come to the front if you turn the whole box so that they would be on the left, nor can you somehow shift or remove the inner mechanism to possibly place it on the left. If I turn the box now so that the holes are on the left, the turning rod nub hits the mounting wall (--> so no mounting possible) and the cord would also be behind the slats.
There's nothing in the manual either, but I can’t imagine that ALL people are happy to have the cord and the rod on the right, even if they only have a single window. There must be a possibility for the left as well, right?! I'm about to curse the saleswoman or have I missed something? :(
Are there maybe separate packages (drawing on the package perhaps once with rod and cord on the right as currently with me and then also on the left?) or do I have to mount something differently?
Somehow I'm losing faith in the world xD
I am very grateful for any quick help :)
