The property is wonderful and we will be able to handle the requirements and find suitable solutions. It is not about overriding them at all costs. It is about gaining an understanding on our part of the local building regulations and seeing whether these requirements allow for any tolerances. Furthermore, it is important for our planning process. The most amazing houses are designed for us, even specifying the requirements, but that is of no use to me if there is no realistic chance of success. If someone with knowledge/experience tells me here, "watch out, often/sometimes/in principle/occasionally/never it is possible to exceed the eaves height by xy% if all other criteria are met (such as the total height). Considering the lack of basis for the requirements, an objection can be successful," then I can work with that. I understand that no one can tell me that for sure and guarantee it.

Precisely because of such questions and uncertainties, I would choose a locally connected architect.

Not allowed, but must: uniform, public, and verifiable. One should not have to extract the details from it individually upon request, and they must apply in the same way at the same time and place for Müller and Meier.

Get a local architect who will plan with you and negotiate with the authority. A general contractor may not pull all the individual strings? We have also built in Berlin (but are front-facing) and the rear properties are built very differently. The elaborate buildings were individually planned and pushed through by architects. Good luck
