Are wooden walls possible in a solid house?

Good evening everyone!

We are currently planning (still just in our heads at the moment but hopefully soon officially) our house. And now I am wondering if it is possible to have some walls built out of wood in a solid house. For cost reasons on one hand but not only that.

Funny - there: someone asks the opposite mixture. Would you like to share your motives with us, what you expect from it? Such special mixtures are actually really very special / crazy enhanced / advanced, not for beginners or even rookies - and make me almost compulsively suspect that there might be some very naive blonde thinking behind it, which advanced people would never ever consider (?)

Solid house with interior walls in prefabricated construction. Common among home builders of medium to lower standard, often on the upper floor. Saves time (drying, masonry, but also in structural engineering because it is lighter). Disadvantages: different movement of the components and expansion, thus cracks. Few are tolerated, many are complained about.

I do not believe that timber frame construction is cheaper than these metal battens.

In addition to Ypg points. No master craftsman requirement for drywall construction. Anyone may erect the interior walls

But does perhaps mean solid wood walls? Drywall is common, as ypg has already written. By the way, in the timber frame house we are making a solid wall, the other way around.
