Are tile stoves sufficient for heating?

Hello,

as my nickname already reveals - I am currently planning to build a house ;) Surely I will ask some questions here in the near future.

At the moment, I am dealing with the heating issue. My wife really wants a crackling fire in the living room. Now the question arises whether a tiled stove would be completely sufficient to heat the room. The living room will be about 40 sqm....

What do you think of my idea?

I recommend underfloor heating, as especially women like to have it warm and at the same time walk barefoot...

they already wear high heels all day anyway

Well, I have to disagree! In my parents' living room there is a tiled stove and it is also the only source of heat here. -It's a pretty big room, yet it is always comfortably warm inside!!

I also think that a good tiled stove is sufficient for this size! For an even larger room, I would also add an additional heater.

If you combine a normal heater and a tiled stove in a room of this size, I think there is also a risk that it will get TOO hot! I don't think an additional heater is necessary.

Tile stoves are so cozy and warm, I also think that a really good one is enough for the room. At my home, it is definitely enough.
