Here it also varies regionally. In Berlin, for example, the waterworks additionally use a blue (non-flexible) protective pipe, and the water pipe is laid inside it and not in another one. Only the pipe provided by the waterworks is allowed. Furthermore, a seal around the water pipe must be made against pressing water in the floor slab/wall of the house in case the pipe breaks outside the house.

This is the principle sketch:

For me, 1000€ for the extension on the property and I had to have the trench dug myself. The water meter is property of the supplier and thus costs nothing. (Only drinking water, electricity another 1000€ net)

With us, it was about €7,500 for all connections (including empty conduits for [Telekom] and [Energieversorger], and inspection shaft) from the middle under the street up to the house. The civil engineer, who was already contracted by the general contractor for the earthworks for the house, did it.

But nothing was connected on the property itself, right? So the street was opened and closed, meaning partly on public and partly on private land?

Exactly. There was nothing on the property. Opening and closing the street is included in the price.
