Transitions??? Between 2 colors or what do you mean by transitions.

Why primer twice?

2x primed on the old plaster and on drywall; transitions between plaster and drywall (suspended ceilings, newly constructed interior walls made of drywall) - there were small gaps in between.

Basically, you should always make a trowel cut between two different materials. This means separating the plaster layers from each other and filling the resulting joint with acrylic to create an expansion joint, since the materials move differently.

It was plastered in Q3 and we applied Knauf Finish on top. Sanded and done. We are just wondering which primer to use, since we want to spray with Airless.

I like the approach of . Start in side rooms and then critically check if you like it yourself. I always buy my paint/materials at the local specialist store and have them show me exactly how to achieve my desired result. If necessary, you can also call them there with questions. Of course, it depends a lot on the quality of the previous execution. Currently, we have fleece on OSB and drywall boards and then paint. But I also used, for example, 1mm brush plaster with a wide brush directly on the wall (also have the technique explained here). In my opinion, this version forgives or corrects most mistakes and looks great. I mostly used brush plaster from the company haering, which we found great.

Maybe a stupid question, but if I now get quotes from the painter for Q2 to Q3 to plaster and sand, and then paint - but I don’t want the stuff painted with whitewash, but in colors - they do that too, right? Does that cost a lot more? At the hardware store, there are 1000 beautiful color cards showing which shade you can paint your wall in. How do I teach the painter what "shade of gray" I want for my bedroom? :P
