Are measures necessary for interior doors due to controlled residential ventilation?

Hello. We are asking ourselves whether the measures discussed in the forum regarding the interior doors in connection with a controlled residential ventilation system are really necessary for air exchange (e.g. sawing a gap at the bottom of the door, ventilating the frames, planet overflow seals, etc.). Air exchange must be ensured because of the Zehnder 350 controlled residential ventilation system. Our general contractor said that some doors will be left open anyway and that all of this is unnecessary. Of course, we would also prefer to take the simplest and easiest route and leave everything as it is. But then, does a controlled residential ventilation system still have any benefit?

I am hearing about this for the first time. They are also getting a Zehnder system and will not consider any special features regarding the doors. Why would they, an interior door is not inherently airtight.

Yes, the gap is always mentioned. The air has to circulate... However, I have never read anything about sawing off - the initial post confuses me and I can’t place it.

For normal interior doors, the gap at the bottom is sufficient. Measures are only necessary for SK2 or higher doors. In the corresponding rooms, we simply implemented supply air + exhaust air. This elegantly solved the problem.

The doors are often marginally shorter or the door frames are slightly routed at the top. In our case, the doors are slightly shorter.
