It’s not that simple. They are supposed to become living spaces, so you have to build them according to the applicable energy standards. That already costs quite a bit. Then you have to connect the heating to the new building -> is the current heating even sufficient for this load? The old building must be extended with doors towards the new building -> check the structural stability of the old building. That quickly adds up to a large sum. The heating alone can cost you 30,000 € if everything has to be done new.
