Hello everyone,

we have now spoken with several companies regarding house construction and when it comes to heating, opinions seem to be divided; the statements differ as follows:

Air heat pump
Costs per year between 400 - 800 euros
Efficient great until -25 degrees
Efficiency from -15 degrees equals 0

Geothermal heat pump
with surface collectors
Super efficiency
More expensive
Ground gets too cold
Ice crust
Plants die

We are now somewhat at a loss as to what is actually true.

4 people and 2 are for air heat pump and 2 for geothermal heat pump...

Who has experience with the different systems? Especially regarding "operating costs"

Thanks to you!

Hello,

we are currently building and faced the same decision. Since our plot is only 750 sqm and one might still want to build/plant a greenhouse/garage or trees etc. in the coming years, and with the geothermal heat pump with surface collectors this is almost impossible, we opted for air heat. The area of the collectors would have occupied the entire free space.
The price difference is also not negligible. Geothermal with deep drilling costs even more and was therefore out of the question.

You can't generalize that like this. The framework conditions, €uro wants to have a say ;-)

There is also the outdoor unit that has to go somewhere (ugly & noisy). I originally ordered an air heat pump and have now changed to drilling for 4000. It's worth it to me to have more efficiency AND no outdoor unit.

Our air heat pump is inhouse. Alphainnotec is the manufacturer. 4 expensive ones for drilling sounds cheap. What about the effort with trial drilling approval, that must not be forgotten.

Hello,

Nonsense :D

... and the earth is flat ;)

I have it in writing! I don’t know what was charged for the air heat pump, since it’s a total price without breakdown, but I really only pay an extra 4200€ now.
