Calculate honestly? For the statistical 15 years of life expectancy, shelling out tens of thousands of euros (or even six figures) again just to save 1,000 or 2,000€ annually on heating costs over the remaining lifetime? Most retirees would give you a slap on the back of the neck and send you home with your "honest calculation." Let's be honest. Renovations are done after death or when the owner trades their property for a care place or a small rental apartment/condominium. And then by the youth, who renovate not only energetically but properly.

What exactly is being (unnecessarily) philosophized about here again? Brings exactly ZERO.
Incompetent politicians for years (have there ever been competent ones?) and the citizens have to pay the price again. :(

This should only be about prices.

HT: 36.17 ct/kWh previously 23.52 ct/kWh --> 53.8% more expensive
NT: 30.20 ct/kWh previously 17.65 ct/kWh --> 71.7% more expensive
Basic price: from €108 p.a. to €114 p.a.

And the 13% loyalty discount = 13 years is already included.
In 2009 NT was at 9,x ct/kWh.

~2700 kWh p.a.: Instead of €53 / month now €82 / month.

Maybe in the 50s? Afterwards also one or the other, but unfortunately mostly corrupt or they were not allowed to get involved...

and I was sure I would be spared from the electricity price increases ... no such luck.
Today environmentally friendly by email: New house from 30.9 cents to 40.9 cents and from 8.9 GP to 13.9
The previous installment was about €150, approximately €50 too high. So I will probably receive a refund this year, but not next year (if I can get GreenPlanet Energy to maintain the installment).

For the old house, I now have to pay about €530 installment :huch.
But luckily that is no longer my problem; from 15.12. I will read the meter there for the last time ;-).
Increase on 01.01.23 or 15.01.23.

Unfortunately, the old oil heating broke down today - oil tanks all empty :-(
I did not expect that. €1.22 net per liter for 500 liters.

(I almost suspect someone stole oil; the oil shut-off valve on the heater itself was closed!
This has not happened in 15 years. I need to check the video recordings from the last few days)

So today was a really expensive day for me, and otherwise it hasn’t really gone well either :-(
