We also do the white laundry. Washing machine and dryer next to it. The washing machine fills and drains itself via the valve under the utility sink. The white laundry has enormous advantages. It includes splash protection. It is large and deep enough for a 10-liter bucket. It is very resistant. I clean bronze ship propellers in it, rinse muddy shoes, clean brushes, etc. We would never give up this convenience. The idea with countertop and sink built in is certainly also effective. kbt s plan with the tiny sink, on the other hand, is child's play from the perspective of rural housekeeping.

I had already found the suggestion from while browsing the net after my post. Tried to recreate that in the Ikea kitchen planner..... of course then completely closed, not with the open leg as shown there

As a small kitchen unit, I think the idea is quite nice.....
