Hello,
we have purchased the Avatara 3.0 click vinyl flooring from Ter Huerne, which is also to be installed next week.
The click vinyl has an integrated 1 mm impact sound insulation layer and is 5 mm thick itself.
There is underfloor heating on the ground floor. Therefore, we are wondering if an additional impact sound insulation is necessary? On the ground floor, leveling compound was applied to the floor, making it very even. There is no underfloor heating on the other floors.
Nothing specific can be found about this in the [IN der Gebrauchsanweisung].
Thanks for your experiences
Regards

Seriously?
By the way, the product does not have impact sound protection, but impact sound insulation. You don’t use any additional impact sound insulation on top of that.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I certainly must have expressed myself incorrectly. That means I can install it as is without laying anything else underneath. Sorry. It's my first floor that I'm installing. Thanks

: A substructure that is only 1mm thick cannot – common sense must already say this – provide impact sound insulation that is worth mentioning. What has been applied under thin-layer floor elements for many years is nothing more than a crush protection. This is for the case that the screed (or the leveling compound) on which it is laid was not optimally freed from sand grains or dirt particles. The "proper impact sound insulation" lies deeper, namely beneath the screed. This also deserves the designation due to its thickness, but especially because of the absorption of the vibration behavior. For new screeds, actually regardless of age, the full-surface installation of a PE foil as a vapor barrier is recommended. This makes particular sense with heated screeds! -------------------- Good luck: KlaRa
