60s IKEA PAX wardrobe with sliding doors?

I would like to use a Pax wardrobe with a depth of 60cm and sliding doors. Unfortunately, this combination is not available in the Ikea program. Can I boldly attach the sliding doors from the 66cm wardrobe to the 60cm one?

Maybe someone has had a similar desire.

There is no 60cm or 66cm deep PAX. Both are the same. The PAX is 66cm deep with sliding doors and 60cm without. Something seems to have gone wrong in the planning, as this is the usual depth for a wardrobe with sliding doors.

But this is very annoying now because the existing niche is only 60cm deep and sliding doors are already a wish. Isn't it possible with some craftsmanship to shorten the carcass by 6cm?

With craftsmanship and the necessary tools, this is possible. But have you also considered that then the rear row of holes will be missing, all shelves will need to be shortened, and drawers etc. cannot be used? Can't the cabinet protrude 6 cm from the niche?

Is the rear row of holes already gone with 6cm? So the effort would be acceptable; as long as the functionality doesn't suffer too much. Drawers are not used - so no problem. 6cm into the room is already a lot...

Yes. The holes will then be gone. And if you want a clothes rail inside, it can sometimes get tight for the clothes. Measure how wide a jacket or something similar is on the hanger. An unmodified PAX frame is (external) 58 cm deep.
