I didn't even know that I signed something. Keep your smart comments to yourselves if you have nothing relevant to say. Dollar, this is directed at you!

@Euro: What is a run-of-the-mill gas condensing boiler for you?

Hello,

I would personally tend towards the 36.5cm Poroton. The disadvantages of the WDVS system are personally too great for me.

These include:
- Risk of moisture damage with improper installation
- The pesky woodpecker has discovered the WDVS neck as a breeding ground. This leads to increased repair costs.
- Fire protection! Although WDVS systems are supposed to be fire-resistant, tests and unfortunately also real fires have shown that this is not the case, and the fire can consume the entire exterior wall.
- The appearance after a few years, once the fungicides and pesticides have washed out, algae & co can settle peacefully. (But this may also be more a problem of the plaster coating and can also occur with 37.5cm Poroton?)

I found a nice report on YouTube from NDR, just search for "45min Wärmedämmsysteme"
Best regards

I also forgot the later disposal. How long does such a system last, 30, 40, 50 years? After that, it is hazardous waste.

Styrofoam is already not hazardous waste today and will not be in 30, 40, 50 years either. Styrofoam can be recycled and, if necessary, completely burned. Algae growth can just as well occur on a house with solid masonry if it is insulated just as well. Algae growth is mainly determined by whether the surface can dry quickly enough or does not get wet in the first place (roof overhangs). The distance to forests and shrubs also has an influence. This entire contribution from [NDR] is pure scaremongering. It has already been discussed enough.
