I would be interested to know what you arranged/noted/bought/organized first after it was clear in which month you could move into your new house.

So far, I have noted:
------------------------------
- Buy mailbox
- Order trash bins
- Buy double-drum composter
(- Terminate rental apartment, only when move-in date is fixed)

Moving truck ordered.
We had already registered the garbage bins beforehand, the mailbox had been installed in the fence ages ago.
Inauguration party planned with the neighbors. ;)
The rest actually happens spontaneously, we hadn't planned too much.
We had already taken over the house for some time and then gradually started moving.
Well, the distance wasn't far anyway... :)

For me, that was also the escalation date to clear out and put everything that isn't coming along on classified ads or pack it into trash bags. ;)

I first had to look up what that is. It might be okay for an apartment in the city. But the purpose doesn't make sense to me for single-family homeowners. The thing is too small to last through the winter, right?

They come in different sizes, and I could also put two next to each other.

Such an item is also still on our list. I just haven't found one in the right size yet... My wife does not want a compost heap on the property, what other alternatives are there for that?
