Yes, that is one of the more annoying points about the matter, since we cannot plan with an increased salary directly, as that will only change in 2020.

But crucial for the bank. You should seriously evaluate what is realistic from 2020 onwards. With these figures to the bank. They can tell you what financing framework would be possible. Thus, you could plan in peace.

I have illustrated this in Excel to show how it looks for us. So the entire property is divided by the driveway and we would want to build on the right side.

Yes, we are both supposed to be listed in the land register in the end.

And that is a problem for the bank and also for you
Right now the numbers are quite tight for 4 people
Next year is pure speculation

In any case, I don't necessarily see your girlfriend working part-time. If she earns more, she should work full-time

How about you with job change or secondary income? There are quite a few possibilities in this profession

There are less than four months until 2020. Just wait and see what salary your girlfriend will have then. You are in the very comfortable situation that the land is secure for you. Complete the entire house planning calmly, save more equity, wait for new income conditions, and then go to the bank. Then it will work out as well, I think.

I believe in your case I would also prefer to wait a little longer and see what salary your girlfriend can negotiate. It's not that much time anyway, and during that time you can calmly plan everything, get everything transferred, clarify what is allowed to be built, etc. But for financing, you are clearly better off with two salaries, and by then you will also have more equity. There is actually nothing at all to rush now, since you already have the plot of land secured. The BA thesis is not rocket science (yes, I wrote mine with a 4-month-old child, so I know what I'm talking about), so she should focus on finishing her studies and simultaneously already apply with the current grades. However, the topic of childcare is important here: How secure is the daycare spot for you? Everything depends on that for you in the end, because otherwise one of you won't be able to go to work.
