Wooden facade cladding

My wife would like to clad parts of the facade with wood. Specifically with slats mounted on the facade at a distance of 1-1.5 cm. Does anyone know what this is called? Are there any long-term experiences with this cladding? I imagine it to be problematic with dirt, as it's hardly possible to clean out dirt and insects, right?

Wooden facade or partial wooden facade is correct.

It is crucial not to save on the material. Spruce or fir does not look very good after a short time; Douglas fir is the better choice.

specifically, it is about our new building, the exterior walls consist of Poroton T8 with 42.5 cm, the whole thing will also be plastered. We have a bay window about 3.4 m wide, 0.9 m deep, my wife would like to clad it. It would then be reasonable to make the substructure out of aluminum, right?

What needs to be planned during the shell construction?
What does something like this cost approximately (per m²)?
