Hello dear forum community, my little house is slowly entering the final phase and I would like to start thinking about which "plaster" I want to coat my walls with. The house was built with precast concrete. These walls are differently smooth.

There are walls that are quite smooth and there are walls that are rough. Can you give me a tip on which material is suitable for concrete walls?

I have already read good things about "Knauf Multi Finish." But I am not sure if it is the right material.

Attached is a photo of the current state. The walls should then still be wallpapered with painter's fleece.

As said, it is a finish (product is good!!) for filling and fine sanding. It is not suitable for the joints between the boards, because you have to go over them too often. I would seal them in advance with a gypsum plaster (except for the bathroom).

I would ask at a specialist store, but there are definitely various concrete fillers. What is your goal? Should the walls all be smooth or slightly textured? And: Have you ever used filler before?

I filled the joints of the precast ceilings with Multifinish. It worked great and was the recommendation of my local building materials store.

Hello, thank you very much for the answers. Our goal is of course: to get smooth walls. We then want to have them wallpapered with [Malervlies]. Although we have not yet done any plastering, I have held a trowel before (training as a bricklayer).

Well then, you should be able to manage that. The important thing is to work cleanly. If necessary, you have to plaster and sand 3-4 times. If fleece is applied over it, that also forgives small mistakes, and paint will come on top anyway. The joints are simple, more difficult are large continuous surfaces. That is just hard work.
