With which heating system can I heat cheaply using electricity?

I looked at a really nice apartment today that I would have loved to take immediately. Unfortunately, there is a catch: it was built in the 70s and only has an electric storage heater. The previous tenant had an electricity bill of nearly 30,000 kWh per year! I definitely do not want to spend that much. However, in the building, there will only be the option to heat with electricity. Now the question arises: how can I heat with electricity most cheaply? For example, what is to be said about the Evolit heating system? What other options are there?

Heating with electricity is expensive, and if the building fabric additionally has little—or rather no—thermal insulation, it becomes really costly. There is little you can do about that.

Hello,

My sister is facing the question of moving into a rental apartment where electricity is the heating source. Actually, we advised her against it, because heating with electricity is very expensive. Even if the rental apartment is so nice and all the people are good. But the costs must not be overlooked. They are simply very high with electricity.

Hi,

that is correct and these arguments must not be overlooked. Electricity as heating is simply very expensive and there are cheaper options here. Even if the apartment is really great, the costs must also be considered.

Maybe do a comparison beforehand

No, an apartment heated with electricity is out of the question. Electricity is really too expensive for heating. Then maybe the poor construction quality of the building adds to that. All of this drives the costs infinitely high.

At this point, there are other alternatives.

Hello,

Anyone who believes that heating with electricity will not cause costs to skyrocket is gravely mistaken. An electric heater is incredibly expensive, and if the insulation of the house no longer works, costs arise that are hardly bearable.

A rethink is required here.
