Hello,
we have now planned our house and received the building permit, so the architect can soon start with the detailed planning.
Now I am still a bit back and forth thinking about whether there are things I want to change beforehand.
Maybe you have some ideas...
The hallway is very large. This is intentional so that we can have a large front door with glass inserts on the left and right. This way the entire hallway and also the staircase are nice and bright.
But now I am wondering what kind of wardrobe I could take.
If I take a bigger one, it will stand directly in front of the window insert, which is not nice either.

The next consideration is the doors.
Wouldn’t it be more sensible to move the door from the hallway to the living room all the way to the left corner?
As it is now, a small corner is created to the left of the door, which can’t really be used anyway.

I would actually have liked a sliding door from the living room to the kitchen, but unfortunately that’s not possible because of the walls. Does anyone know if there are nice folding doors or similar? I think the door will often be open and then I find it nice if the passageway is as wide as possible. But it should definitely be possible to close the door, so that, for example, you can have your peace in the living room even if someone else is cooking.

And I am still thinking about the windows in the living room.
On the left and bottom sides of the plan there will be floor-to-ceiling windows. The terrace is also located in the left corner of the plan (or we would like to have a conservatory there eventually), so you can go out to the terrace from there. Now I am wondering if two windows on the right side of the plan might be too many. And whether to have normal windows there or floor-to-ceiling ones as well? On the side is later the driveway to the garage.
South is at the bottom of the plan, by the way.

If anyone has any ideas, comments or tips, always happy to receive them ; )

16 doors on the ground floor? Respect.

Ok, also a special layout, but I only have three doors on the ground floor...

Everything above the kitchen (i.e. offices, stairs, outer door) does not belong to the private area. We are self-employed and that belongs to the commercial part. Then there are already a few doors less ;)

Office 2 accessible only through the kitchen or Office 1 is intentional? 2 dining tables?

Yes, that is intentional. The two offices are exclusively for me and my husband, and we usually come from the private area anyway. Other offices are upstairs. We only want a large corner bench with a big table in the kitchen. The other table in the living room was drawn in by the architect, but actually no one is supposed to sit there. There will probably be a play corner there first ;)

Very cool, I dream of that! You are of course right about the wardrobe. I can’t think of anything, but maybe something could be done at the expense of the laundry room (possibly also taking 60 cm from office 1).

Perhaps a (asymmetrical) double door would also be appropriate. Then you can see in the hallway where to go ;-).

I would coordinate that with the elevations. Would a change affect the building permit?
